The belly is such a mysterious beast!
For so many of us, we've learned to "suck it in."
Or perhaps, we’ve been conditioned to ignore the uncomfortable feelings in our belly, as it can sometimes be too much discomfort to take in. As a result, we learn to detach. We innocently dissociate.
Without knowing, we hold so much stress and trauma within our abdominal regions, which can compound over the years to create bloating, diarrhea, constipating, pain, tenderness, liver problems, allergies, fatigue, and can even change our posture, which then plays games with the functioning of our nervous system.
Belly "issues" can even impact our THINKING, as our thoughts are heavily influenced by the inflammation, neurotransmitters, and bacterial byproducts produced in the gut.
